Baker Mayfield was having a terrible season, but still losing him for about a month will sting for everyone in Tampa Bay's offense. Egbuka has been the WR36 on WR26 expected half PPR points (10.5), scoring exactly 8.8, 8.8, and 8.7 fantasy points as a reliable WR3. There are so many near misses underneath and over the middle to Egbuka on tape. The timing was just not there on some of these zone targets, and it'd be a surprise if an UDFA rookie in his first start was suddenly playing on time. The Bucs only have an 18.0-point team total in Week 4, but if there's a saving grace at all, it's the fact that Egbuka is still getting the bespoke routes in the offense, sometimes off of motion and sometimes to create cavernous space as the primary target. In an alternate universe, Egbuka is an upside WR2 in this role. That's sadly not this simulation.
